1 cup flour
3/4 cup yellow cornmeal
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons oil
1 egg
3/4 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, sugar, and milk. Make a well in center of mixture. Combine milk, oil, egg, and cheese; stirring well. Put into well, mixing well. Spoon batter into a greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake for 20 minutes
